General

Who Are Apollo Central LTD?
Apollo Central Ltd is currently a micro-entity software company with an ambition to make digital inclusion a reality for all regardless of age or other characteristic. We aim to go beyond traditional methods and provide software with tools that  have not only been designed from the ground up but are also based on user experiences.
We achieve this ambition by using existing technology to leverage tools that assist users and simplify the computing experience. The solutions are designed to offer simplicity rather than multiple features and can be accessed and used by a very broad range of users.
What About WCAG 2.1 & 2.2?
Apollo products provide tools which assist in displaying websites in a way which is accessible to a wider audience.
It achieves this by moving the host tool 'out-of-the-browser' and into the OS (Currently Windows Only).
This can also be used by software vendors to plug in events and features into their own software. This enables them to offer a richer user experience for a wider audience. It is each individual software vendors responsibility to implement the relevant action in their application.
Websites where the host is used are still responsible in ensuring relevant WCAG compliance or other regulations where appropriate. While we take the WCAG guidance into consideration and are working towards improving our sites & products, we cannot be held responsible for any issues around 3rd Party sites.
What Operating Systems Do You Support?
For technical reasons we are currently focused on supporting the Microsoft Windows operating systems and in particular, but not limited to, Microsoft Windows 11.

Due to the overall purpose of the product the products are designed in this way . We understand that this is not necessarily in the spirit of being 'inclusive' but the nature of the technology in use has made this decision appropriate.

We will however be looking at ways we can adapt and offer similar experiences on Chrome Books and Mac's in due course.
What is the EdTech Marketplace?
The EdTech marketplace is a separate site where suppliers of various sizes providing tech to the Education industry can showcase their products and companies. There are competitively prices advertising plans  for Spotlight, Featured & Catalogue Products. Events can also be included by event organisers.

Anyone can visit the market site and there's no need to sign in, but as an added bonus it is displayed on the Home page of a selection of Apollo products and switches between Spotlight and Featured.

Beta Testing Process

How Can I Become A Beta Tester?
From approximately  late May 2026 we will be opening up Beta Testing for Apollo Business on this website.

We are looking for around 10-20+ testers to use the software and offer feedback. This will be based around Apollo Business software and it's use within the business sectors. It does not matter if you have a disability or not, but you must have a desire to make computing easier within a Microsoft Windows environment.

As an incentive, any individual or business who provides valued constructive feedback on a weekly basis for 3 months, whether positive or negative will result in a 50% discount for the first year of any subsequent purchase for all users

If you are interested in Beta Testing Apollo Business please email office@apollocentral.co.uk
We will then get in contact and provide further details.
How Will Beta Testing Work?
Once confirmed as a Beta Tester you will be able to download the product installer. Once downloaded and installed there will be 2 icons available on your desktop. One for the Apollo Portal (Initially Apollo Business Only) and another for the main business application. You will be asked to provide feedback weekly for 3 months.

Products

What will be available in Apollo Core Products?
Apollo's core products -  Business, Home and Educational products will share similar functionality with relevant differences depending on the type of product.
Accessibility has been considered from the start and the Apollo Accessibility Host is included. This can provide general features that work on most websites even when there is no built in widget in place.
Will Apollo Care Home be used to assist in the running of Care Homes?
No. Apollo Care Home will be a solution for providing device based entertainment to care home residents. Again based on lived experience and a desire to improve the daily lives of elderly residents. The product will simply offer a way for care homes to provide additional entertainment and cognitive tools in an appropriate manner.
What features does the EdTech marketplace offer suppliers?
Features included will be the ability to see how many people have viewed your product, how many have clicked through from the marketplace to your website or used any of the other links. As a supplier you will be able to upload a logo, specify company and product names, contact and social information and a short appropriate description.

For events you will be able to include a longer description, upload a PDF or image and provide additional links e.g. to ticket purchasing.

To ensure appropriate use of the marketplace you will need to agree to a set of general terms and conditions and each request to appear will need to be reviewed by a human. We may in future make use of AI to ensure images are legal and descriptions relevant.
